Mortgage Rates Move Lower Again in MBA Survey for Week Ending -May 25th; Avg. Rate is at 3.91%; Refinance Activity Now at a Volume of 76.6 % of Total Mortgage Weekly Activity

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced their most current data (averages for contract interest rates): 

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (FHA Loans) 
= 3.70 %

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (Conforming Loans, less than $417,500)
= 3.91 % (* 3.91 % is the lowest rate since the survey's beginning);

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (Jumbo Loans, greater than $417,500)
= 4.23 %

15 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 3.23 %

The level of refinance activity was reported to be at 76.6 % 
of the total activity for the weekly survey.  The level of
refinance activity for week ending May 11th was 74.9 %.

Mortgage Rates Decline Again in MBA Survey for Week Ending -May 11th; Avg. Rate is at 3.96 %; Refinance Activity Now at a Volume of 74.9 % of Total Mortgage Weekly Activity

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced their most current data (averages for contract interest rates): 

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (FHA Loans) 
= 3.75 %

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (Conforming Loans, less than $417,500)
= 3.96 % (* 3.96 % is the lowest rate since the survey's beginning);

30 Year Fixed Interest Rate (Jumbo Loans, greater than $417,500)
= 4.20 %

15 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 3.26 %

Located approximately eleven miles from Ashland, Scotchtown is the former home of Patrick Henry.  This remarkable home was built around 1720 by Charles Chiswell.

There are eight large rooms, a central hallway, lower level, and attic.
