The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced their most current data (averages for contract interest rates):
30 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 4.97 %
15 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 4.41 %
1 Year Adjustable Rate Mortgage = 6.52 %

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) announced their most current data (averages for contract interest rates):
30 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 5.08 %
15 Year Fixed Interest Rate = 4.41 %
1 Year Adjustable Rate Mortgage = 6.61 %

Lawn Renovation Tip - Outside Temperature is the Key
With lower temperatures in the area, this is a good week to begin one's lawn renovation.
Two considerations:
1-For grass seed to germinate, the temperature "should" not be beyond 87-degrees (F).
Observe the 10-day outlook in your planning. If there is an unexpectedly lengthy "heat wave" forecast, you may want to wait until that passes.
2-Don't schedule your seeding with a major rainfall in the forecast. No need to have your valuable investment washed away.

- Garden and Other To Do:
a) Fertilize container plants with a liquid fertilzer every 2 weeks; also fertilize bedding plants (annuals and perennials); b) Fertilize spring flowering shrubs and trees after they have flowered; also, take time to prune these plants as needed. c) Evergreens (broadleaf) should be fertilized now; d) Support clematis vines, other vines, and new upright shrubs and plants with trellises, staking, and soft tapes; e) Deadhead flowers for more abundant growth; keep chrysanthemum top growth "pinched" lower; f) Treat weeds when they develop. - Lawn To Do1:
a) Check mower height for tall fescue grasses: 2-1/2 to 3 inches is normal for this time of year; b) Sharpen mower blade as needed; c) Don't over-water; there is no need to water, if the previous evening or day sufficient rainfall occurred. - USDA Hardiness Zone Area Lookup:
